We are auditioning for talent to bring the Zindagee Crew to life!!

Are you a fun-loving, kid-loving creative with a spark of boldness and adventure that you’re bursting to share?

If you have ever dreamed of being a positive voice for young children through the magic of puppetry or animation, we’d love for you to consider applying to be a handler, puppeteer or voice for the Zindagee Crew.

Ideally, we’d like to find seven local creatives who can puppeteer as well as voice, but I am staying open to alternatives – so if you just want to be one or the other there’s potential to match a teamed pair.

Puppet Handler

If we find voices from out of town, we’re going to need local puppeteers for production of the episodes. If you’d be interested in this position, submit your name and email address below and you’ll be notified when a screen test of puppet handling abilities will be held. This is projected to occur in February of 2018.

  • Must be local to Whitecourt, Alberta
  • Will not have an active role until episodes are developed (may be 3-6 months or more)
  • Will be part time/occasional not ongoing or full time

**Puppeteer**

In a perfect world, you are one of seven amazing puppeteers who offers the whole package – you’ve got an amazing personality that children love, you have 3-4 hours a week to spare for ongoing voice work and you’re able to voice and manipulate the puppet at the same time so that when we’re ready to shoot complete official episodes you’ll be able to slip into character onscreen.

  • Must be local to Whitecourt, Alberta (if you aren’t then you may want to apply as a voice)
  • Must be able to provide Child Welfare & Criminal Reference Checks on request

Steps:

  2. Choose one of the seven Zindagee Crew characters
  3. Record a 60 second audio – speaking in character & singing Happy Birthday in character
  4. Submit recording as outlined in puppeteer prospects welcome package
  5. Attend the interview and screen test session(s)

Voices

You love children, you love puppets and you love the project, but you don’t live local to the production…I will be considering casting voices only (as long as we find a team member who can master the sound syncing that will be necessary for such magic!). Your role would begin fairly shortly after casting with initial work taking up to 4 hours a week.

Steps:

  1. Sign up below for the voice prospects list to keep updated on screed test sessions
  2. Choose one of the seven Zindagee Crew characters
  3. Record a 60 second audio – speaking in character & singing Happy Birthday in character
  4. Submit recording as outlined in voice prospects welcome package
  5. Attend the interview and digital screen test session(s)
